HYDROSOLS hydrating & balancing mists
Crafted in small batches using a pure copper alembic or glass still with organic herbs from Northport, MI, our artisan distilled hydrosols are seasonal and limited, made with fresh plant material only available during certain times of the year.
These alchemical mists hydrate, tone, and plump the skin while naturally balancing its pH (~5.5) to support the protective acid mantle. They improve skin tone, enhance absorption of oil-based moisturizers, and can be used on the face and body, as well as for home fragrance, linens, and aromatherapy. Each hydrosol features naturally present colloidal suspensions of essential oils, with no additives or preservatives.
Experience the unique scents of each batch—some reminiscent of fresh plants, while others reveal subtle transformations through distillation.
Single herb Hydrosols are available, as well as co-distillations.

Achillea millefolium
Anti-inflammatory & Calming
Rich in the medicinal constituent Chamazulene which gives Yarrow essential oil its blue color and potent anti-inflammatory benefits. It is a mild antibacterial and antiseptic. It helps with acne prone skin and healing skin from sun/wind damage. It can be used to clean wounds, to stop bleeding and as an aftershave. Yarrow is a great balancer and is a highly energetic companion to use in boundary work. Yarrow Hydrosol truly smells like Yarrow flower bottled up. It may be considered unpleasant to some, especially if you are not familiar with the fresh flower. -
Salvia sclarea
Euphoriant & Toning
Clary Sage is astringent and toning for oily skin types. Clary Sage is a euphoriant and some find it to be aphrodisiac. It provides emotional support and it profoundly energetic ~ especially for heartache and emotional trauma. It smells a bit like Earl Grey tea, definitely not as potent or pronounced as the fresh terpene-rich flowers. -
Salvia officinalis
Cleansing & Balancing
Sage helps to improve circulation in the skin, as well as stimulate the lymphatic system. Sage has direct benefits in balancing the autonomic nervous system and works to reduce sweating, especially sweating of the armpits & feet triggered by imbalances in the parasympathetic nervous system. Sage is mildly astringent and is a powerful antioxidant and is an excellent “anti-aging” skin companion to mist on skin prior to or during exposure to the sun, wind & the elements. Sage is a wonderful multi-use Hydrosol to use on skin, hair, body and space. The scent is strongly herbal but not overpowering. It is instantly recognizable as Sage. -

Cooling & Calming
Ideal for all skin types. Indispensable Hydrosol for travel. Regenerative for damaged & fragile skin. Mist of skin before & after shaving to tame inflammation & prevent ingrown hairs. Great for calming sunburn, heat rashes, bug bites and itching. Makes a wonderful ally during times of stress &/or anxiety. -
Melissa officinalis + Rosa spp.
Calming & Clarifying
Lemon Balm is calming to the body & mind. A great ally for stress & anxiety. Lemon Balm is a good antioxidant and anti-inflammatory and blends beautifully with Rose as a skin clarifier and to calm rashes, skin irritations and eczema. Lemon Balm is one of those Hydrosols that does not smell much like the fresh herb, which is remarkably stronger. The Hydrosol it lightly lemon scented & floral with an unusual edge to the scent. The Lemon Balm was co-distilled with a medley of Roses gathered from friends & community members (unsprayed). Unfortunately the varieties of Roses gathered were not very aromatic but its Hydrosol still packs all the lovely skin benefits of Rose water. The Rose scent is subtle and comes through as a powdery floral finish. -
Lippia citrodora + Rosmarinus officinalis
Calming & Clarifying
Lemon Verbena is a strong anti-inflammatory and it clarifying for normal/combination skin. Lemon Verbena is aromatic but does not produce a lot of essential oil. “Like all hydrosols from low-yielding plants, it is highly energetic. It appears that much of the plant’s life force remains in the water soluble components, like a hologram.” Lemon Verbena is distinctly lemon but not citrusy. It smells sweet and fresh. Rosemary smells green and similar to the fresh plant, just more “green”. It is a gentle stimulant and is great to use as a hair mist and to clarify the skin.
