An Ancient Ayurvedic Ritual for Modern Wellness
Elevate your daily self-care with this time-honored Ayurvedic tool, used for centuries to support both oral and digestive health. Tongue scraping is a simple yet powerful practice that helps balance your oral and gut microbiomes which is foundational to overall wellbeing.

By gently removing buildup from the tongue’s surface, this copper scraper helps to:
⤙ Stimulate internal organs via energetic pathways
⤙ Enhance digestion and nutrient assimilation
⤙ Improve your sense of taste
⤙ Remove harmful bacteria and toxins
⤙ Reduce bad breath caused by volatile sulfur compounds (VSCs)
⤙ Minimize plaque formation
⤙ Heighten awareness of your internal health

Why Copper?
Unlike plastic or stainless steel, copper is naturally antimicrobial. Revered in Ayurvedic tradition and validated by modern research, copper helps eliminate harmful bacteria while preserving the good. It also supports the enzymatic activity that fosters a balanced oral microbiome making it the optimal material for your daily tongue scraping ritual.

  • Use in the morning right after you wake up. From an Ayurvedic perspective, tongue scraping should be a daily practice.
⤙ stick your tongue out just like you would at the dentist (say "ahhhh!")
⤙ apply the scraper as far back on your tongue as you can without triggering your gag reflex.
⤙ pushing down just enough for the scraper to apply light pressure, draw it forward towards the tip of your tongue.
    ⤙ rinse scraper under water.
⤙ repeat seven times or until your tongue has been fully scraped - when there is no coating or mucous left
⤙ wash the tongue scraper and let it dry.

Follow by oil pulling, teeth brushing & a gum massage. Scraping the tongue followed by a glass of water can reduce accumulating digestive toxins (Ama).

  • Dissolve equal parts baking soda and lemon/lime juice into a shallow dish. When the solution stops fizzing, rub the paste into the copper cleaner using a cloth. After twenty minutes, rinse the tongue cleaner under hot water, pat dry with a clean towel, and store in a dry location.

When cared for correctly your copper tongue scraper will last a lifetime. ♀
